John Zerning

John Zerning studied architecture at the Institute of Design (New Bauhaus) Chicago and I.I.T., USA. He was later awarded a Shell International Research Scholarship in the use of shells in plastics at the Engineering Department University of Surry, UK. At this university he obtained the Master of Philosophy degree in civil engineering.

John has published his research in a pamphlet ‘Design Guide to Anticlastic Structures in Plastic’. He has been a Senior Lecturer in Structures at the Architectural Unit, PCL London (now University of Westminster).

John specialises in lightweight space structures.
